There are plans in place to refurbish the current community centre building, we aim to create a vibrant space that serves our community and showcases our heritage. This long-term project will unfold in three phases: starting with the development of a community center and heritage space expanding our heritage offerings, and finally enhancing the facilities for everyone to enjoy.

Scalpay Community Association Announcement

We are excited to announce that the planned refurbishment work of our Scalpay Community Centre is almost ready to begin! This marks an exciting new chapter for our much-loved community space.


We have been successful in securing the necessary funding and signed a contract for the works with OMAC construction Ltd.


Work is planned to start early November, ’25 with an expected completion date of June/July ’26.


To allow the work to proceed safely and efficiently, the Community Centre will be closed to all bookings from 31st October 2025.

 

The External Toilets and Showers will also be close for the duration of the work.
